Dear Lybrateuser, - Sleepiness in the day could be due to improper diet leading to weakness due to anemia, blood sugar changes or hormonal as in hypothyroidism, sleep apnea or sedentary habit & lack of exercise - have a well balanced diet with more of fruits & vegetables including green leafy & seasonal ones, whole grains instead of refined ones, combine protein food with carbohydrates in each meal, also have a snack in between meals, take a walk for 10-15 min after meals for proper digestion & to keep alert - have plenty of oral fluids including 7-8 glasses of water for proper hydration as even mild dehydration will cause tiredness & inability to concentrate - do regular exercise like walking & yoga for 10-15 min in, he morning to keep fit & alert in the day - check blood hemoglobin, sugar & thyroid hormones (panel) to rule out any other problem.
