Hi docotor, I delivered a boy (3.7 kg) 3months back, I had CESAREAN, I had DIABETES in pregnancy, but I controlled with diet only, After Cesarean also I checked my RBS (130--150 mg/ml), 2 days back I checked my RBS it is 208 mg/ml, Now I am feeding my baby. From yesterday I am getting some v. Light different PAIN on stitched place on stomach, Does diabetes effects on my stomach (c.section)? I checked my stitches were healed in 1 month only. I am worrying. Does baby got any effect with me (feeding)? May I use any medication in this feeding time (for sugar)?

You can breast feed your baby, it will have no effect on baby. Your random sugar is raised ,follow as strict diabetic diet ,avoid foods containing white sugar and fats ,don't drink carbonated beverages and juices .eat lots of vegetables. Salads and fruits. Repeat bld sugar fasting and PP after 7 days ,if they also raised consult a physician.

Hello mam controlling your sugar is the first effort you can do while in lactation you can use drugs that are safe for baby beside that ayurvedic medicine has been proved very efficient in controlling diabetes and pain in your stitches may be due to increased sugar levels.
