Combined action of exercise and dieting will help you to reduce your extra fat in your waist line. But here you didn't mentioned your current weight, Height, health status, life style and your diet preferences. Without knowing all those details it is difficult to prescribe a particular diet. In general reduce the intake of energy dense (Alcohol, Soft drinks, sweets and pastries, deep fried items etc) things and include 50% of your carbohydrate intake from vegetables and include good protein sources (Egg, Chicken, Mutton, Milk, All pulses, Legumes and Beans etc.) with your main meal. Take frequent small meals with 2.5 to 3 hours gap. Start with 20 min exercise and gradually increase up to 1 hour and be regular in exercise. Drink at least 3 liter water per day.
