Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Sago is basically only carbohydrate. So it will be converted to glucose on digestion. So it is better to take a very limited quantity. It is like eating rice or any other carbohydrate preparation. Has no extra benefits. Thanks.

Sago is a carb just like rice, roti, poha, dalit, khichdi. You need to exchange sago with roti or any other source mentioned, in the same amount so as to get the same carb value. Eg 1 roti = 1 bowl dalia= 1 bowl sago =1 medium sized katori of cooked rice. So sago is safe.
