I'm a diabetic type 1 patient, in want to gain weight my weight is 43, and my age is 26 yrs. I take human mixture morning 22 units afternoon 6 units (actrapid) and night 25 units human mixtard. I done whom to consult whether a dietician, endocrinologist or general physician, please suggest me what to do.

Hello as you are patient of diabetes type 1 you must have to take insulin for long life. Weight loss is due to your diabetes only. Though your blood sugar is normal still diabetes always exerts bad effects on body. Due to diabetes this wasting is common but a little dangerous. We are practising the same for since 8 years on diabetic compliocations. You do not eat sweet at all. Revert back with reports to me we will prescribe you medicines.
