I am diabetic I do running exercise for nearly one hour daily and I cover 8 kilometers. Pls suggest can I consume protein supplements and if yes then in hw much quantity and if not then what r the alternatives. I am 45 years old male. I feel pain in my muscles.

Instead of protein supplements have dietary protein like dal, spinach, almonds, chicken etc. Protein supplements may damage ur kidney. To keep ur diabetes in control have lot of salads and leafy vegetables in the lunch. And have a very light dinner excluding rice. Continue ur exercise. Also take help of meditation. All this will help.

You can take Protein powder but it will not solve the problem of your muscle pain.
