Hello sir. My mother is a diabetic patient and she is suffering from it since 2014. She is 45-year-old and she is taking glynase- MF but not getting proper results. Her fasting is 300 and sometimes her heart beats get faster during sleep. Can you suggest me how to deal with it.

Hello, Thanks for the query. If fasting blood glucose is 300 mg, then it is really very badly controlled diabetes. That can lead to a number of serious long term complications related to various vital organs and systems. It is clear that her present treatment is not at all helping her. There has to be an up gradation of therapy with some additional drugs. For suggesting the same I need to know the following: current fasting, PP blood glucose levels, HbA1c%, dietary pattern and extent of daily exercise being done. So please come in a private conversation with all these details, then I will be able to give specific advice and prescriptions. In this communication I am supposed to give only general guidelines, which she will have to follow meticulously. Thanks.
