Patient Review Highlights
Amazing experience. She put all my fears at ease. Everything was explained very systematically and in a manner which we could easily comprehend. Very helpful and goes out of the way to ensure that the patient is relaxed. Very sound and very knowledgeable and more importantly a doctor who is very approachable and patient.
Great doctor. Great advice. She was of great help and made me feel very comfortable and responded to all my queries. She gave the right advise after a complete analysis and discussion on my issues. Highly recommended.

- This is especially for the youngsters. Now a days, many young couples randomly use Emergency Contraceptive Pills without understanding the implications.
- Using cyclical pills is a much better and safer option.
- These cyclical pills if taken methodically can actually be beneficial in many other ways in addition to providing contraception.
- Cyclical pills keep the menstrual cycles regular, the amount of bleeding is lesser, pain is reduced significantly and these pills also help in protecting from STDs to some extent.

How to know if you have PCOS?
There is no single test to diagnose PCOS. There are many myths about PCOS. Some common signs and symptoms to look for are:
Irregular menstrual cycles
Irregular periods also called Oligomenorrhea
Weight gain, overweight (difficulty losing weight)
Difficulty losing weight
Excess hair growth on face and body- called Hirsutism
Darkened patches of skin
Type 2 diabetes
High cholesterol and high triglycerides
High blood pressure
Cysts on the ovaries(multiple)
Sleep Apnea(when breathing stops for a short period of time while asleep)
Decreased sex drive
Increase in stress levels
What one should try and understand is that out of these battery of symptoms which are listed above not all but a few would be present in an individual. If you as a patient compare yourself with another PCOS patient, some symptoms would overlap and some would be unique to you.
PCOS has become very common these days no doubt but it should not be over-diagnosed either. If you feel that you have any or many of these symptoms please consult your doctor.
Can I take the emergency pill now, I had taken it last on december 2016, my period was due on 8th september, but it had not come yet. And I had sex on 8th of september.
We last had protected sex on 3rd of September but she has similar symptoms like pregnancy that is swollen breasts cramps mood swings food cravings lower back pain. So is it possible to avoid pregnancy without surgical treatment?

- Many couples have this query about how to manage their sex life during pregnancy. Some are comfortable in asking but many would feel shy and embarrassed to ask their doctor regarding this sensitive but very important issue.
- The general rule to be followed is that intercourse should be avoided during the first three months and the last 1and a half or 2months before delivery. This is applicable to all except those who have a certain complication or a particular contraindication regarding which the treating doctor generally alerts the couple.
