About Ivepred 500 MG Injection

Ivepred 500 MG Injection is a steroid, which prevents the release of certain chemicals in the body that result in inflammation. The drug is quite effective in the treatment of a number of inflammatory health problems such as gland disorders, lupus, arthritis, psoriasis as well as ulcerative colitis. It also treats various other inflammatory conditions of the lungs, skin, eyes, blood cells, stomach and nervous system of the body.

Because the steroid is strong it can lead to a number of side effects which gradually disappear as the body adjusts to the medicine. Some of these side effects are weakness and slight muscle pain, headache, bloating and discomfort of the stomach. Make sure to contact your doctor if you experience the following-

  • Tunnel or blurred vision along with eye pain
  • problems with breathing
  • behavioral changes, mood swing and depression
  • pain in the arms back or leg
  • convulsions

        Antihypertensives

        Use with caution as this combination will decrease the concentration of Antihypertensives. This interaction is more likely to occur if Ivepred 500 MG Injection is taken for more than a week.         Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs

        Ivepred 500 MG Injection is used with caution in the patients with diabetes as it increases the blood glucose levels. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is necessary. A suitable antidiabetic agent is prescribed based on the clinical condition.
      • Interaction with Food

        Grapefruit juice

        Consumption of grapefruit juice is not recommended when you are taking Ivepred 500 MG Injection. Inform the doctor if you experience any undesired effects.
