I have used otrivin & likes on & off for last 15 years, sometimes continually for weeks. I feel permanent inflammation in my nose & sinuses. I have had sinus barotrauma many a times on flight. Can you help for a longterm solution. I had a sinus surgery 5 years ago but not for sinusitis as it didn’t exist. At times, putting almond oil drops in the nose makes me feel better but whenever I get cold (very frequently). I have to no choice but to use the spray -otrivin/nasivion. It is the sprays used for long durations that have damaged the tissues may be. What are possible treatments & ways to get off the sprays?

1. Do saline gargles daily. 2. Whenever possible do steam inhalation also. 3. Cover your nose and mouth with hanky for at least 30 sec when you go in dusty areas also when you go in and out of ac.
