I am using bp tab olmezest h20, I am suffering from anxiety-related hypertension. I am taking bp readings at home by an automated bp monitor. Always my first reading is a little bit high why? 134/85 1 reading 120/80 2 reading 115/77 3 reading. Which reading should be considered? During my first reading, I feel nervous and anxious. Can I change my tab? Pls, suggest. Regards.

Hi lybrate-user. I would request you to take bp readings for 7 days both in the morning before tea and in the evening between 4-6 pm before evening tea. Each time you take bp take reading after resting for 10 min and in sitting position. Each time you take 2 readings at interval of 10 min.(that will make 4 readings in all in a day). Don’t worry it’s not only one day reading on which the decision for altering medicine depends. You bp record in this way will help me in systematically planning me your bp medicine. You can share me your bp readings for 7 days.
