Sir I have been on bp medicine and the doctor has suggested telma 40 (morning), metxl 25 mg (evening) & telma 20 mg in the night. I had been on telma but have not started metxl 25 yet. My bp has been 130/80 and pulse has been around 70-75. From last 2 days, the bp reading has been 150-155/90. Shall I start metxl? Is it safe medicine and has no side effects. I am 47 year old male and have no other medical ailment. All my reports are ok. My random sugar has been around 100. I have a strong history of cardiology in my maternal side and have very high level of anxiety and essential hypertension. Kindly suggest.
