?ello, i'm a female, 22 years old. I had vaginal candidiasis. Pharmacist gave me sporanox and said to eat 1 pill a day (100 mg) approx for a week. On the 4th day I noticed that my sexual drive and sensitivity in vagina disappeared, on the next day I found out that it can be a side effect of sporanox and I stopped taking it (after 5 days 100gm a day). From day one I can have clitoral orgasm but vaginal arousal disappeared and still did not come back. At the moment 2 weeks passed after the last pill. In one site its written that this side effect does not need medical attention, but in another site they say that sexual disability is a serious side effect. Is it and what should I do? Im in a foreign country and to visit a doctor is almost impossible due to coronavirus.

For your present situation. For vaginal arousal you should concentrate on foreplay. If you are excited then there will definitely be vaginal lubrication and arousal.

First of all, you should not take such medicines over the counter. Don't worry, although itraconazole (sporanox) can produce some sexual dysfunction, it is not permanent. You can wait for a month and you will be a more attractive and powerful lady than before. Good luck.

Do not panic. It usually goes off as the time passes. Just try to engage in sex in position suitable and comfortable for you. You can try vaginal lubricants. If these fail, we advise special sex therapy, called "Sensate Focus"
