White vaginal discharge is normal in case of most women, and is generally quite harmless. But some types of vaginal discharges may be the signs of an infection, which require the doctor’s assistance. In case of a normal discharge, the secretion is odorless and generally clear or milky. If the discharge is thick and white, it may indicate a yeast infection. This type of condition is followed by itching and swelling. In case the discharge is yellow or grey in color, accompanied by a foul smell, it is a sign of bacterial vaginosis. A thick, yellow or greenish discharge, is generally indicative of trichomoniasis. This infection spreads via sexual intercourse.
HOW IS WHITE DISCHARGE PROBLEM DIAGNOSED?
