Dear sir, I have been using foracort 200 inhaler 4 puffs a day (morning 2, evng 2) and montek lc for the last 3 years irrespective symptoms as suggested by a doctor. whether i'm on correct treatment? I was told I have asthma, during last 3 years, I dint experience any wheezing, but fever twice every year. please guide.

Dear Mr. lybrate-user, inhaler dose and strength needs to be decided with symptoms and pft report. If your symptoms are persisting, repeat a pft a chest x-ray and ige levels with a cbc underlying allergies need to be ruled out. Also get a x-ray of the sinuses as sinusitis may increase the symptoms. If you acidity start treatment for that as it also worsens asthma. Wheezing is common in asthma but its absence doesn't rule it out. Fever could be because infection due to low immunity. Once the corona virus settles please get yourself evaluate
