Hi, Sir my husband has been taking novomix50/50flexpen dose 14 units in day time 14 at night for the last 9 years. Shall he switch on to oral tablet linagliptin as he is allergic to sulpha drugs. Please help me to cure my problem asap.

The choice of oral medicines can be made only after examining him personally. If his diabetes is of the type which requires only insulin for sugar control, oral medicines may not work.

First of ol your husband is on insulin so no need to take any oral drug secondly if he already on insulin so no chance to reverse back to oral.

Why to switch you can add decrease dose of insulin accordingly but I prefer insulin always at your age.
