Hi, What is the bilirubin normal range, if its is high what is the medicine and what is the precaution shall I take and what is the effect if it is high.

It is normal to have some bilirubin in the blood. A normal level is: direct (also called conjugated) bilirubin: less than 0.3 mg/dl (less than 5.1 �mol/l) total bilirubin: 0.1 to 1.2 mg/dl (1.71 to 20.5 �mol/ typically, bilirubin levels fall somewhere between 0.3 and 1.2 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dl). Anything above 1.2 mg/dl is usually considered high if it is high it means there is jaundice and it comes due to infection of the liver and by just resting the liver the bilirubin will come down.
