I am 40 years old with ht 157 cm, wt 55.9, bmi 22.7, fat 23.9%, muscle 35.2%. Normal bp/sugar/tsh. Only high cholesterol 230: ldl 178, hdl 37, trigl 97. My problem is that upon regular exercise for muscle mass, it refuses to grow and poor stature makes my confidence low. I want to know what diet can help me grow bulkier without interfering my cholesterol. I am a non-veg mainly fish/chicken. Thanks!

Hello lybrate-user. If you are taking chicken then avoid oil much. Take roasted chicken, same in fish prepare it will minimum oil preferably olive oil. Also the most important thing is to chew the food right. Avoid more amount of carbohydrates. Take more protein. And increase the range of exercise every week. As body gets used to the regular exercise. For more guidance you can consult me at Lybrate.
