Is ed caused by diabetes really reversible? What is actual use of pregabalin 75, is it to be used perpetually?

Hello, Thanks for the query. Diabetes due to high glucose in blood damages micro (small)and macro (large) blood vessels. Microvascular damge affects retina, glomerular filtration membrane in kidney, penile musculature (leading to ED) and peripheral nerves (causing peripheral neuropathy). Later when diabetes is well controlled damage already caused is unlikely to be reversed. In such situation ED does remain. It can be corrected by specific drugs but can not be reversed. Pragabalin is used to over come pain caused by peripheral neuropathy. It has other therapeutic uses too. Thanks

It depends upon its extent and its prevention is possible by controlling blood sugar strictly.Pregabalin is usually prescribed for neuropathy.
