Hii sir my brother does regular cholesterol check up. This time when he has done he said its high and he is worried. Following are the details. Please tell whether it's normal or abnormal. Total cholesterol :--359.9. HDL :--69.7. LDL:--248.95. VLDL :-- 41.25. S.TRIGLYCERIDES: -- 206.24. TC/HDLC RATIO :-- 5.16. LDLC/HDLC RATIO :--3.57. TC/LDLC RATIO :--1.45.

This readings are high. You must go for general checkup. It is a risk factor not a disease ,pateint should understand the difference between risk factor and disease. This readings indicate that you have risk of cardiovascular disease (Heart disease) that may or may not you will be under this disease after 7 to15 year ,if you continue to reduce the cholesterol level. For reducing cholesterol Avoid oil and ghee Take tab Atorvasta 10 mg for further management Diet plan, exercise plan, medicine plan give more information.
