With a BMI of almost 41 kgs/Sq met (normal < 23 kgs/Sq meter), he has an excess of almost 80 kgs. Therefore, even if he reduces just about 5 to 8% of his weight, he will be able to control blood glucose more effectively. As regards the drugs for treating diabetes according to our knowledge, only modern medicine has specific drugs to reduce blood glucose. Other practices claim a lot without any clinical evidence. Therefore, my suggestion is take appropriate modern drugs. Plus exercise, weight control and diet restriction are also equally important.
