My sister have pain in her wisdom tooth. doctors suggest her to remove that teeth .I wanna ask is that pain is normal will it go away in. 5,7 days by itself or taking out that tooth is the permanent solution? Cause I've seen serval videos on YouTube .in that all are suggesting us some home remedies to reduce the pain. So please suggest what is the best and permanent way to get relief. Thanks.

Taking medicine for pain is a temporary treatment for that. Final solution is taking out the wisdom tooth.

Consult a maxillofacial surgeon if not in correct direction it may have to b removed if you have a xray of that area send on line than can comment better.

Hi. If the patient is having severe continous pain then this indicates that the infection has reached to the pulp (nerve layer) of the tooth. Then two lines of treatment would be there either a Root Canal Treatment (RCT) or extraction/ removal. Since it's a Wisdom tooth then dentists normally prefer its extraction. Because it does not play any major role in chewing. For temporary relief painkiller can be taken. But final treatment would be RCT/ extraction.

Wisdom teeth once infected can infected again, you can take a second opinion for this purpose, and then see what the 2nd dentist advise in this case.
