1. Do not keep cigarettes with you. If you are unable to control urge to smoke then gradually reduce the number of cigarettes you smoke in a phased manner. For example. If you smoke 5 cigaretter per day. Then put a limit to 4 cigarettee for 1 week, then 3 per week, then 2 per week and then 1 and stick to your limits. 2. You can try nicotine patches to control the urges. 3. Try relaxing meditation ,yoga, music to improve general health and gradually reduce stress of mind. 4. Concentration can also be gradually increased in a phased manner. Remove distractions when you are working on something, and set a time limit of interruption free work/study environment. 5. If these things do not help you then get yourself medically checked to rule out any medical cause for the lack of mental sharpness.
