Hi I have pre diabetes which measures 144 before breakfast n after after breakfast is 191 kindly advice how to remove this forever as I have already started eating veg foods like ragi balls dry chapathi n veg salads n have stopped non veg foods completely and started brisk walking too kindly advice to remove this completely.

Keep checking the blood sugars regularly and maintain an ideal weight. Please also do HbA1c. If your sugar levels remain well controlled with balanced diet and exercise then keep it up. Do go for regular health check up with your doctor and revert later.

For diagnosis following are the numbers: Fasting > 126 mg & PP > 200 mg/ 100 ml. Plus HbA1c% >6.5, which is not mentioned. Please get it checked. I have a feeling you are already a diabetic. Stopping non-vegetarian food is not required at all. What is needed is to control your overall food intake to match your daily need based on actual body weight. Plus you will have to a good amount of regular exercise, at least 1 hour a day. Better to join a gym and do work outs under the guidance. Reduce intake of carbohydrates. Totally stop sweets, deep fried foods, pastries, junk foods and food made from maida. Also avoid colas, alcohol and smoking. If you any doubts please come back. If diabetes has already developed then it can only be controlled. There is no way to CURE it completely. Thanks.
