Hi lybrate-user, try to avoid NSAIDs as this is not a permanent solution. You need to control the sugar anyhow to relieve the calf pain or you can go for the Sequential pneumatic compression therapy in physiotherapy clinic. This treatment will help you a lot in calf pain and she need to walk at least half n hour a day which will help you a lot to control diabetes.

This kind of pain in legs can be due to poor circulation of blood in the legs. Another reason in diabetic patients is diabetic neuropathy. She needs absolute control of diabetes. Check her vitamin B12 and D3 and calcium levels. USG colour Doppler can detect blood circulation problems in the legs. Vitamin E supplements sometimes help.
