Hi doctor, yesterday I had my blood reports. Kidney, heart, blood count ,diabetes everything is in normal values. But value pf alkaline phosphate is 138 which should be (< 128), bilirubin direct is 0.48 should be (< 0.3)and total is 1.52 which needs to be (< 1.2).Now, protein total is 8.91 (5.7-8.2).Albumin serum is 5.14 (3.2-4.8).serum globulin is 3.77 (2.5-3.4).i am have loose stool since last week 2-3 times a day. Is it a symptom of cancer or just a normal illness. Kindly suggest. Thank you in advance

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Some of the parameters of LFT are high like ALP, bilirubin and proteins. There is no mention of AST & ALT. The higher levels point to some problem but nothing serious. If you are indulging in regular alcohol intake then too LFT values are upset. As regards having loose motions that can happen due to many reasons including food intake or water contamination. You can take some specific treatment for that and control it. I do not see one should suddenly think of cancer. Thanks.
