My blood sugar is 300 plus from last four days. I have checked the same first time on 14th June. From last six months I'm taking 2 bottle of codine syrup everything day along with 4-5 bottles of soft drinks. But now I have quit all these things from 14th June. My question is. My high sugar level is temporary or I'm diabetic now. Please help.

Dear Lybrateuser, - To be more specific do fasting blood sugar after 10-12 hrs of taking dinner in the next morning & postprandial after 2 hrs of taking breakfast - also do HbA1c which will show the blood sugar control over last 2-3 months -regular monitoring of blood sugar is required to know the sugar level after food, exercise, early morning after sleep, based on these the diabetologist will base his treatment which can include diet &exercise or also medication.
