Dear Lybrateuser, - To reduce BP along with medication you have to take dietary & lifestyle modification - have more of fibre containing foods like vegetables & fruits, whole grains, legumes including beans, lentils, pulses, sprouts, nuts - avoid fried, processed & junk food, also salty snacks, foods containing trans & saturated fats - do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming for 30-40 min, also do yoga, meditation & deep breathing for 10-15 min daily morning to keep fit - sleep well for 7-8 hrs at night, keep your sleep & wake up time fixed - consult your treating doctor if no change in reading if change is required in dose or medication.
