Am 25 year old male suffering from excess of bladder. From couple of years I have this problem. I need to urinate alot almost 15-20 times a day and sometimes my bladder fills in half a hour after I urinate. I have tested my blood glucose by the portable device "acca chek" and its always below average (mostly below 100) but I have never done a proper laboratory blood test to measure my blood sugar. I take allot of sugar rich products as my blood sugar is pretty much normal. But what is cause of excess of bladder if its not diabetes. I am suffering from this problem. For more than 10 years and I always thought I am diabetic because I ate allot of sweet products during my childhood and teenage year. I took my first blood test a month ago on acca cheek and was astonished to find that my blood sugar was 87 and expected it to be above 200. But I was taking very low amount of sugar before the test because as I mentioned I was convinced that I am 100% diabetic patient. Note: I have never consultant any doctor because I have phobia of syringes.

Mr. lybrate-user, As your blood glucose readings are very much normal, then there is no question of having diabetes mellitus. But there is another condition called Diabetes Insipidus where due to the deficiency of a hormone by name Anti Diuretic Hormone (ADH) excess urine is passed. So please get a test done from any of the leading labs to find out if there deficiency of this hormone. Thanks.
