Hi lybrate-user, I appreciate you seeking help. I advise you to consult a diabetologist who can advise medications appropriately to control your triglyceride levels. Simultaneously, you will require to streamline your diet and restrict salt, sweets, oily, greasy, high calorie and fried stuff including fast foods. Try restrict carbohydrate intake to whole grain cereals, whole wheat/ brown bread etc all. Take fresh & fibrous fruits (especially apples) & vegetables and stay hydrated, drinking at least 8 - 10 glasses of water daily. Additionally, omega-3s, vegetable oils with PUFA, garlic, amla, cayenne, green tea, vitamin D, fenugreek (methi), isabgol, flaxseed etc all can be of help here. It is also important that you streamline your lifestyle, exercise daily for at least 45 minutes, and try reducing your stress levels at work and also at home. Certain yogasanas (especially Vajrasana) & pranayams also help control cholesterol & obesity both. Daily relaxation is equally important for your heath as diet & lifestyle is. At the same time it is also advisable for one to restrict alcohol & stop smoking completely. Hope this helps. Do take care and all the very best. Sincerely,
