I suffered from difficulty for swallowing. During Eating time I fill vomit. Eating rate is very very slow. If I eating slow not flil vomiting. Last 1 month I visited to ENT doctor. Also take barium swallow test. Report says this problem regarding GERD. Dr. also started medicine. Dr. says gerd damage your swallow n speech muscles. Your muscles no work properly. GERD can damage of my speech n swallow masels? And what is next steps to solve this problem.

Hi lybrate-user, You are suffering from GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). Main issue is GERD. So apart from medicines you also strict dietary and postural precautions 1. Avoid stress and anxiety (can do yoga) 2. Drink adequate water for good stool formation 3. Stop tea/coffee/tobacco/alcohol/spicy & oily food 4. Elevate your headend by 30 degrees 5. Do not lie down immediately after meals 6. Increase salad/fruits/green veggie I suggest you to go for endoscopy. For medications you can consult onine. Thanks
