Yes you can definitely have steamed brown rice. Even though apart from steamed brown rice if a diabetic patient is feeling to have white rice, it can be taken a bowl but starch should be removed from it. So, for white rice, boil it in a utensil and when all the starch is removed it can be consumed. But don't do pressure cooking of white rice.
