Dear Sir, Both your TSH and HBA1C are in Normal range, though you are very near borderline for Pre-diabetes (HbA1C between 5.7 % to 6.4% is prediabetes). I am not sure why you have been started on Thyronorm either. Was you TSH greater than 5 before? You can stop the Glycomet, but you need to decrease weight. Your BMI which is ration of weight/height square is 27.1. Your ideal BMI should be around 23. So you need to lose approximately 19 kgs. F you stop Glycomet and you do not lose weight within a couple of years you may well be in PreDiabetic range or with Overt diabetes. So my advise is stop Glycomet, eat a healthy balanced diet with plenty of vegetables/ both in salad form or a Sabji which is cooked in less oil. At least half your plate should be of vegetables. 1/4 plate should be of carbohydrate- like rice/roti/chapati/phulka etc. Include plenty of whole grain foods like millets etc. 80% of remaining 1/4 plate should be of protein-pulses-dals, eggs, non veg etc. 20% should be fats/oil. Eat 2 fruits /day. Drink semi skimmed milk 1glass/day. Take curd/buttermilk from semi skimmed milk. Can take one handful of nuts/day. Avoid high calorie food like sweets or junk food. Most important is to exercise -at least 45 min of moderate exercise per day- like cycling, brisk walking, jogging, swimming etc. Aim to lose 2 kgs weight per month. Hope this has helped you. I wish you best of luck Thank you.
