I am suffering from IBS, a gut brain axis problem.in my case it leads intestinal swelling and constipation, though there is no abdominal pain&inflammation. Problem occur severe frequently. Levosulpiride 25 mg, a medicine, an antagonist of dopamine D2 receptor is used to cure problem that relieve for a little time. My question-is there any permanent cure of this type of IBS ?

Hello Mr. Lybrate-user as you asked about your problems related to your ibs and related complications, I would like to advise you to follow regular daily routines of getting all dietary measures and daily behaviours as well as yoga and exercise every day and morning walk every day. You may use light diets and soups of carrots and beetroots and green vegetables and moong daal soups fried with cumin seeds and ghee and garlic. You may use khichari and dariya, oat meal with moong daal and green vegetables and sprouts. Avoid oily or junk food and sour products e. G. Pickles etc. You may use lassi or chhach. You may follow some ayurveda medicines as given below. Arogyavardhini vati. 1 tab maha shankh vati. 2tabs soot shekhar ras. 1 tab kutaj ghana vati. 1 tab panchamrut parpati. 1 tab three times daily with water after meals. Kutajarist. 15 ml pippalyasav. 15 ml three times daily with water after meals. Continue treatment regular for one month. If you feel better result then continue it for 3-6 months otherwise have private consultation for pulse diagnosis and proper treatment with me.

A person needs to be very relaxed. Having food at proper time, in proper quantity with mind focused on nothing else while eating makes the most important part of treatment. Avoid hurry, worry and curry. Use more of buttermilk. Regular practice of yoga helps.
