I am 25 years old. I have been suffering from depression since I was 18. I call it depression because the internet told me that it is depression owing to the symptoms but haven't consulted any doctor yet. After all these years my condition has deteriorated. I'm sad everyday. I sleep timely but when I wake up it's like I haven't slept at all and there is a gloom that sets in the morning and stays with me throughout the day. I don't feel like doing anything and I've become dangerously forgetful and this has been running my career too. Please tell me what should I do and if I can be cured.

My advice is that you meet with a doctor to determine whether you are depressed or not. You cannot be completely right by studying all the symptoms. Even if you were accurate, you should have sought some p[rofessional help for all these years. I will suggest a few symptoms and even after that you must visit a professional to know for sure and find some therapy to help you. What Are Symptoms of Depression? According to the National Institute of Mental Health, symptoms of depression may include the following: •Difficulty concentrating, remembering details, and making decisions •Fatigue and decreased energy •Feelings of guilt, worthlessness, and/or helplessness •Feelings of hopelessness and/or pessimism •Insomnia, early-morning wakefulness, or excessive sleeping •Irritability, restlessness •Loss of interest in activities or hobbies once pleasurable, including sex •Overeating or appetite loss •Persistent aches or pains, headaches, cramps, or digestive problems that do not ease even with treatment •Persistent sad, anxious, or "empty" feelings •Thoughts of suicide, suicide attempts.
