Hello lybrate user remedies based on the prunciples of ayurveda give relief to a greater extent. *massage with little warm dhanvantara oil+ksheera bala oil before hot bath. *tab mahayogaraj guggul 2-0-2 after meals * dashamularistam 10 ml twice after meals. * practice some light shoulder muscle strengthning exercises.
Please never stop avoiding any activities which she used to do because that may worsen the stiffness. So just keep her only hot water as you feel till it's tolerable. Ask her to do over head activities without fail. A very simple, ask her to bend her spine forward with a support and swing her arms sides and circular movements in a free way as the arm is swinging in a pendular movement. Surely it will subside.
Dear lybrate-user, I appreciate your care towards your mother. Frozen shoulder is a very common complication of diabetes and affects females more than males. It is because of deposition of glucose and proteins in shoulder capsule which is also called adhesive capsulitis which is seen as self limiting but painful condition which is treated by 1) good control of blood sugar 2) physiotherapy when it is not very painful 3) pain relievers, vit d and calcium. Already she has gone thru 6 months. Please be patient as she'll surely come out of it in next few days.
