Although you are patient of type 2 diabetic I don't find any tablets in your medications mentioned. Usual body levels type of food, timing physical activities and dosage of h. Mixtard are very important for proper balance of sugar control blood sugar below 60 -70 mg will give rise to low sugar state identified with hunger, sweating, weakness, giddiness, behavioral changes headache or palpitation and sometimes in extreme cases convulsions or loss of consciousness. Get your blood sugar checked at fasting, 2 hours after morning principal meal and at bed time and discuss with a doctor about the entire daily schedule including medications and dosage. Modifications including change to human actrapid can be considered your doctor. You can think of self monitoring with keeping a glucometer at your house for frequent blood tests more so when you have symptoms mentioned by you. A phone call to your regular doctor will solve the problem.

Mr. Lybrate-user, when on insulin some times hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) develops. That may cause some of the symptoms mentioned. If you are doing self monitoring of blood glucose (smbg), at home then you should check the glucose level when you feel such symptoms and see if there really a low level (<70 mg or lower). If it is so, then dosage of insulin may have to be adjusted. To give exact suggestions I need to now your fasting, pp sugar levels, insulin dosage and hba1c%. Then only I will be able to comment. Thanks.
