Hello, my name is ahmed hassan I am 27 years old and working in oil and gas project in iraq. I am engineer and my job nature is mostly working on computer in office. From past couple of days I am having neck and shoulder pain for just sitting for 15 minutes. I am also feeling dizzy and sleepy even after getting sleep for 8 hours. Please suggest me a good treatment.

Dear lybrate-user, as your job is at desk working on computer, its most important to maintain proper posture. Now as the neck pain is radiating to shoulder, there might be compression in cervical region which is causing radiating pain. Local diclofenac application with hot water fermentation will regulate the pain. Consult your local gp or orthopaedic for medicines or can take panadol xtra twice a day for 3 days. Take electrotherapy for a week, the pain will be reduced completely, after reducing of pain do neck isometric exercises regularly.
