I am 42 years old female. I am on hypertension medication. Earlier I was taking metosartan 50 in morning and amlodipine 5 mg in evening and my bp was between 140-150/80-85 then I consulted doctor again and he prescribed me metosartan ch 50 in morning and amlodipine 5 mg in evening and now my bp ranges from 95-110/60-70. What should I do now please suggest.

Hi, Lybrate user, you need to monitor your weight that triggers your bp, up. Bp level in between 140/80 is almost, normal, hence, amlodepine of 2.5 mg is supposed to be adequet, instead of 5 mg. However, final decision of your health provider is valuable, hence, consultation with your doctor be needed to reschedule the medication, if, required. Tk, care.
