First of all, this is a psychological problem. I have performed very poorly in my class 12 exams. I was a topper of my class. But my class 12 final performance is disastrous. This is a very important exam in my life. I will not get any job if I perform poorly. I have let down my mother who have trusted me so much. My father hates me and he will turn me away from house if my results are bad. All this thoughts are eating up my mind. My mind is going out of control. I do not know what to do with my stupid life. I feel there is nothing left in my life. I am totally depressed and frustrated. My only skill was my education and now I have messed it up. I do not know what to do, where to go and I think all my life doors are closed. I blame only myself for this. I cannot bear this humiliation. What have I done. Please help me anyone.

Hello lybrate-user. Okay, I can understand the panic and absolute disappointment you must be feeling. You put all your hopes on one thing and not succeeding there could be very scary. But as you have mentioned in your query, you still haven't got the results. May be your fear of failure is making you underestimate your performance. It's better to not count our chicken before they hatch, even the dead ones! so tell your mind to stop believing in'one of the many' possibilities. Yes, you may get bad results but you may get not so bad results also. Secondly, whatever be the outcome you will have to face it. We all do. There is not a single person in the world who hasn't failed at least once. What we do in the face of failure determines our future, not the failure itself. So, you can accept your responsibility (or credit) for the results and figure out what to do next (hopefully, peacefully) with your parents, or blame yourself or someone or something and not do anything to better your situation or, I hope not, do something to put you in more trouble. The choice is yours. Lastly, you said education is your skill. If that is so then you can use it whenever you want. Batting is virat kohli's skill. Sometimes he gets out on the first ball. He is not a skilled batsman? one exam cannot say everything about you, your life or your abilities. Life is much much bigger and you are much much bigger. You will see that. Your parents want the best for you. They will deal with negative events if you are there with them. Help each other out through each other's failures, that's what families do. If you ever feel things are getting out of hand, consult a professional. Problems will come. Go on solving them one by one and you will be fine. Take care.
