Does fruit juice increase blood sugar? My father is 70 years old and he is a diabetic patient but he always insist for having a glass of fruit juice daily. Can I give him juice daily?

Juice is devoid of fibre which helps control sugars. If your father is insisting on juice, then it has to be combined with meals, and reduce a portion of carbs to maintain the sugar levels.
The main ingredient of fruit is glucose and fructose. Fructose turns into fat and increase insulin resistance. Fruits juice contains much sugar and it absorb in blood easily and increase sugar level. Instead of this take whole fruits.
