My dad is have sensory issue in his feet due to prolonged intake of diabetic medicines. Can the ayurvedic treatment help in improving or restoring the senso in feet.

Mr Veerapandian, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Let me clarify that the tablets taken to treat diabetes or control blood glucose Do Not Lead To Sensory Issues. It is the high blood glucose which affects microvasculature of peripheral nerves leading to peripheral neuropathy . Strict glucose control does help in reducing the symptoms. But whatever damage that might have occurred due to long term diabetes (particularly high blood glucose), that can not be reversed. You may try the alternate medications, which may help. One of the most common long term complications of diabetes is peripheral neuropathy. If you have any questions please do come back. The sensory loss in the feet is probably due to poor diabetes control for many years. Good control of diabetes will cause slow improvement in his symptoms but some residual sensory loss will persist Dr. M s seshadri.
