I am suffering from diabetes from past 5 years Till last month the sugar was under control now it has raised to almost 200 suggest me some tips to reduce it.

Mr. Lybrate-user, to control sugar level one has to take prescribed drugs regularly without fail. Take a restricted diet that meets exact caloric requirement based on ideal body weight, sugar levels and extent of daily exercises. One has to avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods and pastries. Also avoid sweetened aerated drinks, products containing fructose corn syrup, high fat cheese. Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits. Daily exercise of 1 hour plus is necessary to maintain normal weight and burn extra calories. Should maintain fasting around 100 mg and pp between 150 to 160 mg/100ml and hba1c%<7.
