It can be due to intervertebral disc buldge. Do not do any exercise without prescription. Go to an orthopardician he will prescribe some painkillers and neuroprotector drugs. Hire a physical therapist and do exercise under expert guidance.

It seems like a nerve irritation of the nerve going down to your leg. Avoid sitting for long time and start lying on your tummy by keep two pillows below your chest. Maintain this position for at least 15 minutes. Repeat it twice a day. Avoid bending forward.
