After consultation with a doctor. Doctor has prescribed amaryl m forte 1 mg/1000 in morning and in night pioz 15 and glycomet sr 500 mg. Her last reading of blood sugar was fasting 150 and pp was 106. Doctor has said to continue this same medicine. I want to know tht is this ok. As 100 is low or average. please advice.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. The treatment advised by the doctor seems quite good as her blood glucose levels have come down following that. Ideally fasting should be < 100 mg or closer to it. Pp should be 150 to 160 mg (106 mg is a bit low, but that can be checked again after 2 - 3 days) & hba1c% < 6.5%. So you may ask her to continue the same. However, please monitor the glucose levels at least once a week. If you have any questios please do come back. Thanks.
