Dear lybrate-user, your mother needs an intervention by dental surgeon for rounding off any sharp teeth or removing any broken teeth (if her medical fitness permits), as soon as possible as a sharp tooth has been seen to cause ulcers on tongue or cheek which if getting injured very often leading to non healing can become cancerous tissue. So in your case medicines are secondary, intervention is primary. Take care.

Hello lybrate-user first of all, you need to take her to a dentist and get the sharp edges rounded off to prevent further damage to cheeks and tongue. Once she is relieved, then we need to know the reason of this. Many reasons can be there: teeth grinding, wearing of teeth due to aging, gastric problem etc. The dentist will take a detailed history and guide you accordingly. Don't ignore it, as frequent lesions in mouth can lead to bigger problems (such as cancer)
