I am a 75 year old woman. I have been having sporadic pain in my spine and tail bone that radiates to my neck, lower back and hips. I cannot sit or stand for more than 15 minutes at a time. I usually take combiflam to relieve the pain when it worsens. I prefer not to do any kind of surgery. My friend had similar problems and has been cured by taking these tablets: fosavance 70 mg/5600 iu tablet once per week indefinitely tripleacal forte 300 tablet every day indefinitely is it recommended that I do the same?

At this age their is nothing much to do. These are age related changes. Just follow your routine work and when ever their is pain have some pain medication.

Hi Your spine problem is more likely wear and tear in spine. Called degenerate spine. Most likely general management is what your friend taking Calcium tab Vit D tab Alendronic acid .... Worth trying . Best wishes

Your back pain could e due to age related spondylitis changes and osteoporosis. The medicines you have mentioned is meant for osteoporosis (first one) and calcium You have to get DEXA scan first before starting such medications. or osteoporosis and get blood.investigations.done Initially take a Xray of tha painful area �o rule out compression.fracture and assess the osteoporotic and wear and tear changes
