Severe pain in lower back since 28aug 21. Mri scan - pivd l4-5 compressing nerve roots advice gabapentin 100 mg monizox 50 mg pan 40 severe pain now in left leg. Cannot walk. What medication to follow.

If the pain is severe enough preventing you from even walking, I would suggest a short term of steroid treatment which can be a success in treating the pain you are having.

Hi Instead of gabapentin, try pregabalin 75 mg might help or increase to 150 . Try this and see If it’s not resolved till 6 weeks time, surgery to your back is another option. Best wishes

For disc prolapse muscle relaxants and pain medication and bed rest is indicated for 2 weeks. Keep a.pillow below left knee while lying down. If you don't have diabetes or hypertension short course of steroids will help.
