I am non diabetic but my fasting glucose is 93 while pp glucose is 87 and hba1c is 5.7. Please suggest whether it is normal that post prandial glucose is less than fasting. What is to be done.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. I have seen the information given. Your glucose levels are like in a normal person. Some times pp can be a bit lower, that is not unusual. Particularly in a person without diabetes. Since your hba1c% is also 5.7% which the upper limit of the normal. It is possible that your diabetes has come under excellent control. Since there is no mention about the drugs being taken, dietary pattern and extent of exercise and previous history like when was the diabetes detected and the treatment initiated and what were the glucose & hba1c% at that time, it is difficult to comment any further. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
