Cough with little sputum is an indication of infection in the chest. The infection may have been caused due to any bacteria or virus including the tb bacteria. The symptoms of tuberculosis are cough with sputum of usually more than 2 weeks of duration. Low grade fever, usually coming daily, felt more in the evening. There will be loss of appetite and weight loss. The blood in sputum can be a symptom of just an acute infection as well as of tb. You must get your self checked with a doctor, who may advice you to get chest x ray done and if needed sputum to be tested for tb bacteria. But please do not ignore your cough, and get the treatment.
